10 years of Surf Culture!!
The next Byron Bay Surf Festival celebrates 10 years of bringing surfers, musicians, artists, filmmakers, activists and water-people together to celebrate surfing and all that it culturally encompasses!
“We didn’t aim for ten years and there was definitely no master plan to make anything huge or whatever. It was just like, ‘our culture and the art of surfing deserves to be nurtured and celebrated…let’s do this’…and we’ve pretty much just surfed that wave through each year”. JMc
We dreamed up events, we invited friends, the biggest legends of surfing, artists, filmmakers, activists, and musicians and we prayed for waves. And because the Byron community and the larger surf community loved it and supported it, it’s been a huge success!
Thank you for joining us to celebrate surfing and all that goes along with it!! It’s been nothing but, as Bob McTavish describes BBSF, “F-U-N…FUN!!”
